    What are your thoughts on the non-consensual violence portrayed in the Girl with the dragon tattoo movies?

    I never saw that movie or read the book.

    Personally, I don’t think any rape needs to be shown.  I understand that rape occurs in real life and in fiction, but a graphic scene is not needed.

    Also, I think rape is too often used as an ‘easy’ plot point.

    I think about Clockwork Orange.  I read the book and saw the movie.  The movie is extremely more graphic in the rape scene than the book.  I hate that movie AND I hate when people glorify the main character.
